This Basic Excel article, we will introduce to realign of text in the cell, left-aligned, centered, right-centered, vertical Tilted Text Wrap and Merge Cells
Let's start aligning the text in cells.
The commands will be in the Alignment group on the Home tab.
Aligning text to left, center, right with Align
The first order group have 6 commands. Use to position the text in the cell to be aligned on the middle or left, etc. The text can be aligned in 2 vertical and horizontal directions.
Top Align: align the text to the top of cell
Middle Align: aligns the text in the middle of the cell vertically.
Bottom Align: aligns the text to the bottom of cell
Left Align: aligns the text to the left of cell
Center Align: aligns the text in the center of the cell horizontally.
Right Align: aligns the text to the right of cell
Text alignment with Orientation
The next command is the alignment of the text, such as tilt, vertical, horizontal, etc. Click the Orientation command and click to select the desired format. As shown below

Used to organize text that is very long, beyond the width of the column into multiple lines of text as shown below.
Text alignment with various Merge commands
There are 4 Merge Cell commands: Merge & Center, Merge Across, Merge Cells and Unmerge Cells, each with different results.
As an example, selected cells A1: B3. The result is shown below.
Merge & Center: Merge Cell vertically horizontally with the text center
Merge Across: Merge Cell Horizontal, Not Merge Vertical
Merge Cells: Merge Cells vertically and horizontally not center text
Unmerge Cells: Canceling Merge Cells
